Legumes (e.g. peas, beans, lentils) are fundamental to any vegetarian diet. These little seeds are rich in protein, minerals and vitamins. One of my favourite type of legume is lentil. I usually cook soup of it and serve with chapati. This extraordinary ingredient has been cultivated for thousands years. It’s well-known throughout the world.
Mr Garlic is one of my best friends. I was always given a mug of hot milk with honey and crushed garlic when any symptom of cold appeared. Now I know garlic shoud be eaten every day. It’s tasty, extremely benefitial, indespencepble. I add it to almost every dish I cook but the healthiest way is eating it raw. Not without reson garlic is said to ba a natural antibiotic. If you eat at least one bulb a day, it boosts your immunological system. As it contains strong antioxidants, it may protect you from stomach and colon cancer. Not only does garlic help to prevent forming new tumours or metastasis, but the already excisiting ones stop spreading. Garlic may also lower blood pressure and cholesterol level, soothes headaches, helps to fall asleep faster. Let’s all become Mr Garlic’s friends!
