You need:
3 cups plain flour
1 cup hot water
400g strawberries, chopped
sugar or icing sugar to sprinkle
Method:
1. Sift 3 cups of flour and mix it with 1 cup of hot water. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
2. Roll out the dough. Cut out the circles (you can use a glass). Place 1 teaspoon strawberries on each circle, fold up and seal.
3. Add the dumplings to boiling water. Once they start floating, cook for about 3-4 minutes.
4. Sprinkle the pierogies with sugar, serve hot with fruit.
