This pizza is amazingly delicious. I love the creamy sauce made of cashews with garlic and herbs. Mushrooms’ flavour is intense but not too strong. I'll search for a nice gluten-free dough recipe next time. For this occasion I used the perfect one I always use. Ketchup doesn't go well with creamy pizza but top it with spring onion or chives. |
You need:
- for dough:
1,5 cup plain flour
25g fresh yeast
1-2 tablepoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons dried herbs (basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme)
a pinch of salt and sugar
- for creamy sauce:
1 cup cashew nuts, soaked for at least 2 hours
1,5 cups water
2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon dried herbs
salt and pepper to taste
- toppings:
2-3 different types of mushrooms, sliced and sautéed
1 medium red onion, sliced
1 medium green pepper, chopped
vegan cheese
- for dough:

2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until smooth.
3. Place the dough in a warm place for 30 minutes and let it rise.
4. Roll the dough and place it on a baking tray.
Sauce:
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend.
Baking:
1. Spread the sauce over the dough.
2. Bake the pizza for 5 minutes in 220°C.
3. Take the pizza out of the oven and put topping on it.
4. Bake for 5 minutes more in the same temperature.
5. Take the pizza out of the oven and put vegan cheese on top.
6. Bake for another 5 minutes.
